Streetball Madness is a 5 on 5 single elimination tournament comprising of 24 teams competing for not only $25,000 cash and championship rings, but bragging rights as the best Streetball players in Australia.

 

EVENT INFORMATION

The event is FREE to the public.

The tournament will be held over 3 days from the 1st - 3rd of December 2017.

Day 1 & 2 @ The warehouse, 124 Whitehall St, Footscray.

Day 3 BATTLE FORCE SUNDAY @ Hangar 85, Essendon Airport, Essendon VIC

The Format

24 teams, 23 games, 3 days, 1 winner

Streetball madness uses a single-elimination style bracket system meaning if you win, you advance, if you lose, you're out. Teams will be seeded determined by previous tournament and basketball experience.

Day 1 - First round of games

Day 2 - Second round of games

Day 3 BATTLE FORCE SUNDAY - Community/Charity games, Final Four and Championship Game.

Rules

Full court - 5v5.
Maximum 10 man roster.
2 x 18 minute halves.
Clock stops on last 2 minutes of each half.
If there is a draw at the end of the final half there will be 5 mins of Overtime to decide winner.
1 x 1 minute timeout per half.

 

Community Games

Streetball Madness is not just about the tournament prize money, it is about giving back to the community what it gives basketball. That's why we are hosting 4 community games to celebrate those who help bring the basketball culture to life in Melbourne.
